When the grid goes down, you need backup power fast! Real Goods' portable Harvester Solar Electric Generator delivers reliable backup power when and where you need it. An alternative to noisy, pollution and fume-producing gasoline or diesel-powered generators, the Harvester can provide enough juice to keep laptops, radios and cell phones charged during lengthy power outages. Or, load it up and power up the sound system for a backcountry gathering. The Harvester is mounted on a two-wheeled cart that resembles a hand-truck. It includes a power center equipped with a deep-cycle, sealed, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)-approved, 105-Amp-hour battery and True Sine inverter, and a maintenance-free, 80-watt solar panel that tilts to give you maximum solar exposure. The unit can accept up to three solar panels for extra charging power, and assembly takes less than 30 minutes.
How It Works
* The Harvester collects power through a 21 lb., 80-watt solar module
and stores it in a deep-cycle, sealed, FAA-approved 105 Amp-hour battery
in the unit's power center.
* Power is stored as direct current (DC) and can be fed through an inverter
for conversion into the alternating current (AC) most U.S.-made appliances
and devices require to operate.
* Mounted on an easily movable two-wheeled platform that allows manual
tracking of the sun's daily path.
